The summer issue of Contrary is out, topped by three moon poems by John A. Nieves, and we are now accepting submissions for Winter 2014. The deadline is Dec. 1.
Our Autumn 2013 issue will mark our tenth anniversary and will be devoted to the best fiction, poetry, commentary and the most contrary contrarians we have encountered since September, 2003.
In addition to Nieves’s moon poems, the summer 2013 issue features new poems by Stevie Edwards, Maureen Alsop and Joshua Gottlieb-Miller, new stories by Armel Dagorn, Zdravka Evtimova, and Huey Alcaro, and commentary by Erika Dreifus.
You’ll also find an interview of Poetry Editor Shaindel Beers by Fiction Editor Frances Badgett. Frances focuses on the development of Shaindel’s new book of poems, “The Children’s War.”
